Thanks IDG

My name is Nanya and I’m the account coordinator for IDG. I wanted to take a moment to thank the partners of IDG for taking the entire group and their families to the Angels game last night……GO MARINERS!!!! (If you can’t tell I’m from Seattle).

We all had a great time getting to know each other outside of the office and I’ve never laughed so hard! It’s definitely nice to work for a company that believes in giving back to their staff after a long summer of hard work.

Thanks again for the great time!!

The Importance of SEO

It has become clear that the internet is an indispensable resource of information for people. Through a simple Google search for any product, you’ll instantly know where to find it locally and have a price comparison between all businesses that offer that same product. Long gone are the days of the yellow pages. If you have a smart phone or tablet, the wealth of information found on the internet now travels with you in the palm of your hand. So how do you harness this channel of discovery for your business?

For some businesses, you can market and sell your products through online stores, such as Google Shopping, eBay, Amazon, and more. For all other types of businesses, a website is needed. It is the face of your company – a virtual storefront. People don’t trust websites that look bad, just as most people wouldn’t walk into a store that is horribly maintained. But how is it that certain websites show up on the first page of a Google search, while others are lost in the millions of other results? How do you get Google to see your new and expensive webpage and rank it higher?

Google, Bing, and Yahoo! comprise of over 95% of search market share in the world. Each has their own method of analyzing websites and each ranks them differently. SEO, or search engine optimization, has become a critical aspect for many businesses, large and small alike. The goal of SEO is one thing: to make sure your website ranks as high as possible on search engines and outrank your competitors.

The bottom line is, if Google can’t properly read your website, it can’t rank your website. And the reality is that websites on the second, third, fourth pages of Google don’t have the visibility or clicks that the front pagers experience. This is huge potential business lost, all because your website was not properly optimized and you don’t have a long-term SEO strategy in place. The results of SEO have been remarkable for Synthetic Grass Warehouse. Because of our long-term commitment to SEO, SGW has gone from being nowhere on Google to currently being ranked 4th on the first page when searching for “synthetic grass” or “artificial grass”. SGW continues its SEO drive, and our current strategy involves targeting additional keywords and continuing to push on keywords that already rank well.

In competitive industries, it is important to embrace the use of SEO to enhance your online visibility and be in a solid position to compete. Coupling a good website with a solid SEO strategy can tremendously increase your traffic. It doesn’t matter if you cater to local residents or have a nationwide audience, a solid SEO strategy should be a growing part of your marketing plan.
